We found our latest and greatest artist, the Leah Randazzo Group, through an Ourstage.com sampler. But the love does not stop there. Ourstage wanted to reveal our love story to the world, so they posted it here: http://blog.ourstage.com/2008/07/31/leah-randazzo-finds-management-via-ourstage-sampler-cd/.
We're very proud of Oneside who have been touring their pants off...they played High Sierra, they played FloydFest, and of course caught the attention of the main man at MyJoog.com. Check it here: http://myjoog.blogspot.com/2008/08/myjoog-artist-oneside.html.

Katie Todd's last album, Make Some Time for Wasting, is now available in all Meijer stores! http://outside.meijer.com
The good folks over at White Owl Pictures were kind enough to include a track by Katie Todd in their film, including the trailer! Watch it here.
Not only will Katie Todd be sharing the stage with Virginia Coalition on Thursday, March 13 at the SxSW Festival in Austin, TX, but the Nadas be headlining Maggie Mae's on Saturday, March 15...and Dick Prall will be joining their stage that same day...let us know if you'll be in town to rock the fest!
Yes, we're going corporate. Starbucks has come a'callin' and wants to feature Dick Prall's tune, "The Cornflakes Song," in over 10,000+ Starbucks stores in 2008. Not only will you hear him overhead while you're buying your coffee, but they are going to start rolling out plasma screens that display the name of the artists as they're being spun. How's that for a good start to a great '08?
Click here to watch Jason Walsmith of the Nadas sing about the caucus cacophony in Iowa...it's pretty awesome. And because of it, we're getting calls from the New York Times, the Wall Street Journal, a plethora of other regional papers, and Jason's even going to be on NPR's "Day To Day" on Monday!
Paperwork artists Katie Todd & The Nadas team up for The Nadas' new release, The Ghosts Inside These Halls. They've recorded the tune "Something's Burning." The Iowa roots rockers who are on the Authentic Records label are releasing the album in March of 2008. Keep your eyes & ears peeled for the goods!
"The Chicago music scene has become increasingly exotic over the years and the next two discs prove it. Eastern Blok’s sophisticated “Balkan fusion” sound on their disc “Folk Tales” (Easternblok.net) is sure to appeal to the growing following of acts such as Gogol Bordello and The World/Inferno Friendship Society." -Gregg Shapiro, Chicago Free Press
ROCK! Andy Downing of the Chicago Tribune interviewed our one and only Dick Prall and the results are just nifty. Click & read.
Check out what Playback:STL has to say about Eastern Blok's new album, Folk Tales, here.
Thanks to the fantastic folks at Poccuo, please welcome my very brand new Paperwork Media website. A few touch ups here, a couple of massive design reworkings there, and we're off to a much-improved look. Please send all compliments, praises and pats-on-backs (we accept cake) to the address below.
We're now booking Andy McKee and his hero, Don Ross, on their US tours for 2008. Could we be more honored to be working with these Candyrat Records artists? No. Andy, the #1 Most Downloaded Artist on YouTube.com, has been a busy bee all over the UK, Europe and the USA this past year, and we intend to send him back across the country, along with appearances in Portugal, Germany, Iceland, Japan, and Austria, to name a few. Check out Andy's new album, The Gates of Gnomeria, out now... or go find that YouTube clip that everyone is talking about. Don Ross, legendary fingerstyle guitarist who hails from our Northern cousin, Canada, has released Live In Your Head and will be touring the USA and Canada next year to promote it. If you're on the West Coast, check out Don's tour dates, as he’ll be dueling it out (banjo-free!) with Andy McKee.
Dick Prall's "The Cornflakes Song" will be on the December/January Paste Magazine Compilation that accompanies all of their issues. That's some pretty cool stuff to us since we all love our Paste Magazine. And, if you didn't know, you too can become a subscriber - they're having a pay-what-you-want subscription offer. Go to their website, now!
Katie has teamed up with The National Geographic Channel and will be featured in their Preserve Our Planet campaign. Katie will be one of the judges for their first ever annual Film & PSA contest, and will be performing at NCG headquarters next April! Check out the site for further info. Be sure to keep an eye out for Katie's first solo album coming out next Spring. We know, we know, we're on the edge of our seats, too.
Hello, All… I just wanted to let you know that as of now I'm featured on NME's online media player and even have a little separate page as a new artist. Maybe y'all could check it out and weigh in on the little survey thingy they have. Right now he's a 9 out of a 10, so he's wearing his happy pants and feeling quite pep-o-riffic because of it.
The MAJIC (Musical Arts for Justice in the Community) Concert Series in Grand Rapids will host the beloved Eastern Blok from Chicago. The facial expressions of drummer Michael Caskey alone are worth the $10 suggested donation. Supreme musicianship is exhibited in each of Eastern Blok's members. ...Read More
Dick's fourth album is out now. BEAUTIFUL piece of work, produced by Joshua Shapera... hear some tunes on our jukebox or head to iTunes to buy the album!
We keep trying to tell these guys to slow down the touring, but they just won't listen. They've been busy all year promoting Listen Through The Static and are already back in the studio recording their new release, The Ghosts Inside These Halls, out next Spring. If you're in Chicago in December, head to the House of Blues on the 22nd to check 'em out.
Paperwork's Jill Katona was featured in the Chicago Tribune here. And here.
Stunning new album by Eastern Blok, formerly the Goran Ivanovic Group. There's no other band in the whole wide world that plays jazz-Balkan fusion-klezmer-world music like these guys. Hit up their website or iTunes and check it out. Right. This. Minute.
